Had this sweetheart in the studio about a week ago to get his professional newborn photos. What a cutie! I loved his chubby cheeks, which we showed off to perfection with the froggy pose. This is a really popular pose for baby pictures, and it’s easy to see why! It’s a bit of a tricky pose, requiring hands-on contact at all times. (Thank goodness for photo editing software!) Making sure baby is safe during poses like this are just one reason you should always hire an experienced professional to capture your newborn photos.
Props and Colors
Blue, cream, and light brown made the perfect color combo for this little boy. Blue and brown almost always go well together, and cream is a great neutral to tie everything together for both boys and girls. This little man loved being swaddled, but he let me get some naked baby and tummy shots as well.
I have all kinds of cute props for newborn photos at my studio. While these are fun to incorporate, my newborn photography sessions always focus on the squishy newness of your precious little bundle. Props are just a way to add an extra element of fun, whimsy, and aesthetic interest. We kept things pretty simple for this little one–although I have to say he looks adorable in that bear hat!
