I have shared bits and pieces of the miracle baby that is Maxwell and I know so many of you have been praying for him. Those prayers have worked and Maxwell is just flourishing at home. I am sure being around his doting brother and sister and loving parents is really helping as well! Meredith and I became connected a few years back when she signed up for a fall mini session with me. We quickly realized our husbands had gone to high school together and the rest is history. I always love my chats with Meredith because she tells it like it is and never fails to make me laugh. When she found out she was pregnant with Maxwell, I am so happy to say I was one of the first to know and we immediately began planning for a newborn session. When baby Maxwell’s condition was discovered, we were unsure of what the future would hold and didn’t know if a newborn session would be possible. I was able to do a maternity session the day before Meredith was induced and then was lucky enough to visit them in the hospital and document their time in the NICU prior to Max’s first surgery. We thought he would be there for a month or more and were hopefully but not sure if a newborn session would happen. When Meredith found out they were coming home a little sooner than expected, I got them right in and baby Maxwell rocked his session! It was so special to be able to capture this precious time for them because for so long we didn’t know if it was going to happen. He will be going in for another surgery soon and your prayers are always appreciated. Enjoy a few favorites from his newborn session. . .
