I have shared bits and pieces of baby Maxwell’s story on my Facebook page, asking for prayers and strength for him and his wonderful parents. Well, today I get to update with some POSITIVE NEWS!! After a pretty big scare after his first procedure, Maxwell has bounced back and is doing better than his doctors expected. The prayers are working!! After spending some time in the CVICU after his surgery, Meredith let me know that he was able to go back to the NICU just a few days ago and could possibly be coming home soon, very soon!! This is amazing news for this precious family. They were originally told to expect to stay at least a month after he was born, but he is doing so well that they may be able to break free of the NICU sooner than expected. Maxwell will have to go back in at 3 months for a full repair surgery, but for now, I know his parents are just so anxious to get him home with his brother and sister. He has a house full of love just waiting for him!
Continue to pray and think of this family often as they are clearly not out of the woods yet, but baby Maxwell is a fighter and continues to amaze!
